Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a mid-level AgriTech Platform Developer to help build a platform that turns weather, sensor data and field insights into actionable software for growers and supply chains.

You will collaborate with agronomists, translate real farming problems into features, and own end-to-end delivery from idea to production in a hybrid Cardiff-based role with an equity stake for contributors.

Qualifications

• Solid commercial experience building web applications.
• Strong grasp of at least one modern backend or full-stack framework.
• Experience with APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Ability to work independently and ship features.
• Good communication to explain technical trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain platform features from data ingestion to dashboards used by growers.
• Collaborate with agronomists and field teams to translate farming problems into software solutions.
• Write clean, tested code and review peer pull requests.
• Help design APIs and data models to handle real-world inputs like weather feeds and telemetry.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end from idea to production.
• Contribute to architectural and tooling decisions as the platform scales.
