Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Agricultural Machinery Service Engineer to join the Exebridge depot. You will service, diagnose, repair and maintain a range of premium agricultural machinery, with manufacturer training and career progression opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in the field, a relevant technical qualification, and a full driving licence. John Deere experience is advantageous and overtime can elevate earnings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in agricultural machinery servicing or engineering.
• Experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing agricultural machinery.
• Full driving licence required.
• Experience with John Deere machinery is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostics, servicing and repairs on agricultural machinery, at depot and on customer sites.
• Complete pre-delivery inspections and set-up of new and used machinery.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and modern technology.
• Complete job cards and service documentation; maintain safety standards.
• Mentor apprentices within the workshop and stay updated on technology.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Agricultural Machinery Service Engineer to join a team at their Exebridge depot.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified Agricultural Machinery Technician, Agricultural Engineer or Service Engineer to work with premium agricultural machinery and leading industry technology, with strong earning potential and genuine opportunities for career progression.

As an Agricultural Machinery Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, diagnostics, repair and maintenance of a wide range of agricultural machinery, both at the depot and at customer sites.

You'll work with modern agricultural equipment and diagnostic technology, while receiving ongoing manufacturer training to develop your technical expertise and achieve certified technician status.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostics, servicing and repairs on agricultural machinery, both in-house and on customer sites.

• Complete pre-delivery inspections and set-up of new and used machinery.

• Diagnose faults using specialist diagnostic equipment and modern technology.

• Complete job cards, timesheets, DTAC and other relevant service documentation.

• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

• Follow all company health & safety procedures.

• Attend manufacturer training and work towards certified technician status.

• Support and mentor apprentices within the workshop.

• Keep up to date with the latest agricultural machinery technology and systems.

• Work overtime when required to meet customer and business needs.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Agricultural Machinery Technician who is confident working independently as well as part of a wider team.

You will ideally have:

• 5+ years' experience within the agricultural machinery industry.

• A relevant technical qualification.

• Experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing agricultural machinery.

• Strong IT skills and confidence using diagnostic equipment.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• A full driving licence.

• Experience with John Deere machinery would be highly advantageous.

• A proactive, professional and reliable approach to your work.
