Job Description

The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project involves the planning, design, and construction of approximately 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also responsible for an additional 260km of future interconnector pipelines and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusting relationships and serve as the primary contact with third-party stakeholders such as landowners, farmers, tenant farmers, and IDBs.
  • Inform landowners about project requirements and construction updates, and gather their feedback to inform the project team.
  • Coordinate all pre-entry assessments and surveys on land, and compile information provided by landowners and farmers.
  • Engage with stakeholders on land and land drainage issues, assisting with post-construction drainage design.
  • Manage pre-entry and access agreements with landowners alongside the Lands and site teams.
  • Discuss accommodation works with landowners, such as water troughs, irrigation pipes, and fencing.
  • Communicate with landowners regarding soil management, advise on risks, and ensure protective measures are in place.
  • Record stakeholder interactions and contribute data for monthly reports.
  • Participate in project meetings, monitoring for conflicting information that could impact landowners.
  • Proactively advise the project team of potential issues.
  • Maintain engagement with landowners during construction regarding project progress and issues.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with SPA practices and landowner obligations.
  • Coordinate reinstatement works post-construction, ensuring agreement with landowners and project team.
  • Manage tasks related to project closeout, minimizing impact on landowners.
  • Uphold Anglian Water's 'Make Today Great' behaviors and serve as a role model.

Qualifications

  • Excellent relationship builder and communicator, capable of engaging with project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and be based at scheme locations during the project.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects impacting agricultural businesses, with knowledge of soils and drainage in challenging terrains.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Proficient in project systems for recording stakeholder interactions and progress.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on business objectives.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft Office applications.
