Job summary

Interaction Technical is seeking an Agricultural Engineer to join their team in Keighley, West Yorkshire. You will diagnose faults, service and repair agricultural machinery on customer sites, travelling to sites as required.

The role is full-time and permanent, with overtime opportunities and a strong focus on ongoing training and progression within a leading agricultural equipment provider.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydraulics is essential.
• Experience in the Agricultural industry is advantageous.
• Electrical/mechanical fault finding, repair and service experience is advantageous.
• Experience working with engines and batteries is advantageous.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering is advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs on agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, bailers, etc).
• Travel to customer sites to ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest standard.
• Carry out diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical faults on agricultural and horticultural machinery.
• Work independently at customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best solution is offered.
• Work on engines, batteries and hydraulics, plus mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Liaise with clients to diagnose faults and provide effective solutions.

Job Role: Agricultural Engineer

Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000-£38,000

Hours: Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00, + Overtime @ 1.5x Mon-Sat, 2x Sundays and bank holidays
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The client:

Interaction Technical is partnering with a well-established and highly respected supplier of agricultural, ground care, and garden machinery. Due to continued business growth, they are currently looking to onboard an agricultural engineer to join their team.

The package:

The Duties:

• Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, Bailers etc).
  • Travel to customer sites to ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest quality.
  • Carry out diagnostics to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on agricultural and horticultural machinery.
  • The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
  • Working on engines, batteries and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
  • Liaising with clients to diagnose faults and find solutions for them.

The Requirements:

• Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
• Previous experience working within the Agricultural industry experience (advantageous)
• Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
• Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
• Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
• Full UK Drivers License
