Job summary

Intact Insurance, the new name for RSA in the UK, is seeking an Underwriter for Commercial Lines in Gloucester. You will contribute to shaping our underwriting approach, driving growth in Agricultural business, and building strong broker relationships.

The role emphasizes collaboration, pricing, risk assessment, and representing the brand at industry events while supporting broker teams and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience either working in Underwriting from a Commercial or Personal Lines
• Background or experience of agricultural insurance from a claims or underwriting background
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify growth areas and drive new business
• Ability to build and maintain Broker relationships or have existing broker relationships
• Excellent communication skills
• A sharp eye for detail

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Agricultural business within your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meetings, industry events and field visits as needed
