Job Description

Agile Masters (formerly Scrum Masters) serve as servant leaders and coaches for agile teams. They educate teams in agile methods and SAFe, ensuring adherence to the agreed processes. They also help eliminate impediments and foster an environment of high performance, continuous flow, and ongoing improvement.

Main Tasks
  1. Servant leader and coach: for the agile team; decision authority on organizational setup, including resource planning in collaboration with PO and PFE.
  2. Ensure agile process compliance: educate the team in agile methods and SAFe; responsible for agile and lean processes like Scrum, Kanban, inspect & adapt, effort estimation; monitor quality measures.
  3. Remove impediments: eliminate obstacles, reinforce team rules, protect from uncontrolled work expansion.
  4. Foster high-performing teams: promote continuous improvement of team velocity, support the Product Field (PFE), and Release Train Engineer (RTE) to ensure efficiency.
  5. Facilitate meetings: organize and moderate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, etc.
  6. Coordinate with stakeholders: work closely with Product Field, Release Train Head, and other Agile Masters for estimations, dependencies, and synchronization.
  7. Prepare for PF/ART activities: assist with PI planning, System Demos.
  8. Manage release activities: coordinate releases and deliveries at least twice a year.
  9. Handle administrative tasks: complete budget tracking and ordering activities.
Qualifications
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, IT, project or people management, or similar.
  • Advanced knowledge of agile and lean methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, OKR) and mindset (servant/lateral leadership).
  • Basic technical understanding or eagerness to learn.
  • Strong team-building, coaching, and development skills.
  • Excellent understanding of group dynamics, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong moderation, facilitation, coordination, and organization skills.
  • Effective communication and visualization skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and pioneering spirit.
  • Self-reflection and teamwork skills (empathy, active listening, feedback).
