Job summary

TXP is seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Lead in Birmingham on a 3-month contract. The role focuses on guiding cross-functional technology teams, establishing effective delivery rhythms and turning changing priorities into outcomes aligned to client commitments.

The ideal candidate will lead planning and ceremonies, track progress with Jira/Azure DevOps, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure delivery within the defined SOW, budget and scope.

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading Agile software or technology delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
• Practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and hybrid methods, with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Proven risk, issue, dependency and change management, supported by excellent facilitation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong client and stakeholder management, confidence with Jira or Azure DevOps, and commercial awareness of scope, budget and change control.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and backlog refinement, translating priorities into sprint goals and clear ownership.
• Track delivery through Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling; identify slippage early, coordinate dependencies and lead recovery action.
• Maintain plans, milestones, critical-path activity and RAID governance, reporting clearly on progress, blockers and forecast confidence.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement and self-management.
• Manage stakeholders, expectations and difficult delivery conversations, escalating risks with practical options.
• Deliver within the Statement of Work, budget and scope; identify change early and consider cost, margin and client value.
