Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited offers a Global Graduate Programme for aspiring engineers. Over two years you rotate to become Graduate Structures Research and Technology Engineer with a personalised development journey and leadership training.

You will gain hands-on experience in wing structures, CDR/DFM, 3D design, and space allocation models while building technical and leadership capabilities. Degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering and strong English are required.

What you will be doing

You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of Graduate Structures Research and Technology Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:

• Design & integration of complex wing structures for the next generation of aircraft
• Technical problem solving of structures including key component interfaces.
• 3D experience, reference structural design principles, understanding of the design process
• CDR (critical design review) to DFM (design for manufacturing)
• How to create space allocation models (SAMs), Design Principles (DPs) and Detailed part drawings.

Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.

At the end of the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of Graduate Structures Research and Technology Engineer!

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:

• A degree level or equivalent within either aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of structures design.
• Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
• A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
• The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
