Job summary

Randstad Digital is seeking versatile Full-Stack Engineers for a contract-based role at the Manchester Campus. You will develop user-facing features (MFE, BFF) and scalable Java backend services on AWS, driving Agentic AI workflows and high-quality code delivery.

The position requires 3+ years of experience in full-stack development, strong Java skills, and proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and modern CI/CD pipelines. Collaborative Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional full-stack, frontend, or backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Java and server-side frameworks, plus REST or GraphQL API development.
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI workflows and AWS CloudFormation.
• SQL/NoSQL databases and Git version control.
• Excellent English communication and a growth mindset.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and data-driven development.
• Experience building products for large, global user bases.

Responsibilities

• Agentic AI Development: Define specs, prompts, and acceptance criteria for AI Agents to generate code, taking ultimate responsibility for code review, testing, and quality.
• Full-Stack Feature Delivery: Build and optimize responsive web and app features using modern frontend frameworks and Java backend services.
• System Integration: Scale backend services, API connectivity, and order/notification platforms.
• Quality & Reliability: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests, monitor system health via SLIs/SLOs, and participate in code reviews.
• Agile Collaboration: Translate product requirements and UX mockups into production-ready code within an agile framework.
