Job description

Agent Engineer (FTC)
Borough, South London (SE1 1EP)

Worldwide Events Group

Worldwide Events Group, founded in 2004, is a recognised leader in global MICE and luxury travel. Across our portfolio, we bring people together and facilitate meaningful relationships, a philosophy we call H2H, human‑to‑human connection. Innovation drives our evolution. We’re embracing AI to elevate personalisation, streamline event design and create smarter, more intuitive experiences for our global communities.

Our work is delivered through two industry‑leading brands, each serving a distinct global community.

Private Luxury Events: Expect the Extraordinary

Private Luxury Events delivers world‑class experiences to the luxury travel community through its event brands Amour, Private Luxury, TFest and Ultra. Our ethos has always been to put the human experience first. This mantra has powered some of the most respected events in the industry, inspiring thousands of luxury travel professionals around the world and at the heart of everything we do lies a passion for connecting people.

M&I

M&I brings together high-calibre meeting planners and exhibitors from the hospitality industry through a series of standout events across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. Our portfolio includes M&I Expo, M&I Flagship, M&I Healthcare, and M&I Luxe. We create beautifully crafted events that spark meaningful engagement, from curated 1-2-1 meetings to immersive moments that showcase exceptional destinations, hotels, venues and MICE services. Our events take place across Europe, the Americas and the Middle East in some of the world's most extraordinary destinations.

The Role

The Agent Engineer is responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying and maintaining production-ready AI agents, tools and workflows using WWE's approved technology ecosystem.

Working alongside Agent Factory, technical colleagues and business stakeholders, you will turn defined requirements into reliable agent solutions, create reusable technical capabilities and improve deployed agents through rapid iteration.

This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on agent delivery rather than organisational change management or team leadership.

This is an initial six-month fixed‑term contract opportunity, with the potential for extension, reporting to the Head of AI Implementation.

Responsibilities

Agent Development

  • Design, build and deploy AI agents for teams across the business.
  • Create reusable agent skills, tools and workflows.
  • Develop multi-agent orchestration patterns where appropriate.
  • Translate functional requirements into robust, production-ready solutions.

Platform Delivery

  • Build solutions using WWE's approved AI platforms and frameworks.
  • Configure and maintain OpenClaw environments and develop Hermes-based workflows.
  • Build and maintain Microsoft Copilot Studio agents.
  • Integrate agents with Salesforce, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and approved internal systems.

Automation & Workflow Engineering

  • Develop automations that remove manual effort from operational processes.
  • Build secure integrations between internal platforms and approved AI services.
  • Improve agent reliability, performance and accuracy.
  • Design technical components that can scale across multiple departments.

Testing, Security & Quality Assurance

  • Test agents against real business scenarios and defined acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor performance, diagnose failure points and implement improvements.
  • Ensure solutions operate within WWE security, governance and data-access requirements.
  • Document architecture, dependencies, functionality and support requirements.

Reusable Capability Library

  • Build reusable components that can be shared across the organisation.
  • Create and maintain a catalogue of agent skills and integrations.
  • Contribute to Agent Factory engineering standards and best practices.
  • Support the development of orchestration agents and the wider AI harness.

Due to the nature of our work, you may occasionally be required to work outside standard hours to support events or meet key deadlines

You’ll thrive in this Agent Engineer role if you bring:

  • Practical experience building AI agents, automations or LLM-enabled applications.
  • Strong prompt engineering and agent-instruction design skills.
  • Experience integrating APIs and business systems.
  • Familiarity with large language models, agent frameworks and tool use.
  • Programming experience in Python, JavaScript or a comparable language.
  • Understanding of structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prototype rapidly and convert successful prototypes into supportable solutions.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience with OpenClaw and Hermes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 integrations.
  • Practical experience integrating Salesforce platforms and APIs.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent tooling.
  • Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases and orchestration patterns.
  • Understanding of secure enterprise AI development, access control and auditability.
  • Proficiency with Git, automated testing and deployment practices.
  • Background in the events and/or travel industry.

We offer a thoughtful package designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and work–life balance.

  • Competitive salary.
  • 28 days' holiday plus UK bank holidays pro-rata, with additional days awarded for length of service.
  • A centrally located London office with a summer terrace within walking distance of the world-famous Borough Market.
  • Regular employee social events supported by our Happiness & Culture team.
  • Monthly contribution towards Bupa private health insurance (post-probation).
  • Employee Assistance Program offering confidential wellbeing support.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave to support growing families.
  • 4 pm Friday finish!
