Job Title: Activity Leader

Hours: 2.45-6.30pm

Days: Monday to Friday

Reporting to: Head of Education and Welfare

Location: Halsford Park Primary School, East Grinstead

Overview:

As an Activity Leader, you are a central part of the team, specifically responsible for working at Afterschool Club to deliver engaging and fun activities to the children in our care. The role is term time only; however, we do run successful holiday camps in East Grinstead with the attraction of additional hours throughout the year if you wish.

You will lead in all aspects of club, including the delivery of activities, and ensuring the children have a healthy, nutritious snack during their time with us. You will ensure that you are an excellent role model and meet the standards expected to deliver our high-quality childcare. You may also help in collecting children from Baldwins Hill Primary School.

  • Ensure children are happy and engaged in their activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children
  • Build effective relationships with children and your colleagues
  • Lead a range of activities for children of all ages
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Attend regular training and development opportunities

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Education and Welfare your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Actively supporting the children and your colleagues
  • Lead a range of activities independently, for children of all ages and abilities
  • Supervise and lead outdoor play
  • Lead Holding Activities
  • Ensure the children have a healthy and nutritious snack

Working with your colleagues to:

  • Understand Club timings and help to resolve issues
  • Lead first aid incidents when necessary
  • Have a strong knowledge of safeguarding and prevent
  • Plan activities with differentiation
