Van Mossel Automotive Group UK Ltd in Poole seeks a General Aftersales Manager to lead our Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle team’s aftersales operations. You will oversee workshop, parts and customer service, driving profitability and exceptional customer care.

We offer a 45-hour week (Mon-Fri, 8 am–6 pm), a competitive £55,000 salary with bonus and OTE up to £79,000, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a growing automotive group.

Qualifications

• Main dealer experience or equivalent motor trade aftersales management experience.
• Exceptional leadership with ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Personable, courteous and customer-focused approach.
• Self-motivated, commercially aware and able to lead by example.
• Computer literate with strong communication skills.
• Able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular reviews of pricing policies, labour rates, discounts and parts pricing.
• Monitor workshop productivity and ensure effective use of labour.
• Examine management accounts and figures to support departmental performance.
• Ensure stocks and services purchased for resale are monitored and sold at a profit.
• Maintain stock levels, monitor parts inventory and anticipate future needs.
• Handle dissatisfied customers calmly and resolve complaints with sensitivity.
• Ensure the aftersales department is adequately staffed to meet objectives and provide prompt service.
• Ensure staff keep up-to-date knowledge and hit brand and company standards.
• Operate within health and safety laws and environmental regulations.
