Job summary

Confidential in Hessle is seeking an Aftersales Coordinator to join a collaborative engineering-focused team. You will liaise with customers to manage spare parts enquiries, quotations and orders, driving a smooth end-to-end service from initial contact to delivery.

You will build lasting relationships, develop technical product knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement across the aftersales function, supported by ERP/CRM systems and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, sales administration, order processing or a similar customer-facing role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities accurately.
• Confident communication and proactive relationship-building to resolve queries.

Responsibilities

• Customer Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and commercial partners, responding to enquiries and providing helpful, timely support.
• Quotations and Sales Support: Prepare accurate quotations for spare parts and services, proactively following up on opportunities and helping customers identify suitable solutions.
• Order Management: Process customer orders using ERP systems, ensuring accurate pricing, product information, delivery schedules and order confirmations.
• Customer Communication: Keep customers informed about order progress, delivery times and transport arrangements, working collaboratively to resolve any queries or concerns.
• Continuous Improvement: Work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities to improve customer service, support sales activity and contribute to wider business projects.

About You:

• Experience in customer service, sales administration, order processing or a similar customer-facing role.


• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities while maintaining accuracy.


• Confident communication skills and a proactive approach to building relationships and resolving customer queries.


• Experience using ERP, CRM or order management systems. Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous, although experience with other systems is equally welcome.


• A willingness to develop technical product knowledge and an interest in understanding customer requirements.


• A collaborative, adaptable approach and the confidence to take ownership of tasks.


• Previous experience in sales would be beneficial for this role for up-selling purposes.

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, technical sales or spare parts would be beneficial, but we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills gained in other sectors.
