Job summary

Barker Ross is seeking a warehouse operative to perform day-to-day warehousing tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will receive, store, pick, pack and dispatch goods, while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include stock checks, using the warehouse management system, and reporting any discrepancies or damage promptly. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work unsupervised when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience putting away or retrieving heavy & high value goods.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and unsupervised when needed.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills, and awareness of safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch goods according to procedures.
• Carry out checks for accuracy, quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Verify shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Follow scanning and inventory procedures to keep stock records up to date.
• Keep work areas clean and safe, and support continuous improvement.
