Job summary

Capability Scotland in Dumfries is supporting a client to recruit a part-time Personal Assistant.

The role covers afternoons, 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime for holidays and sickness. You’ll help with school runs, appointments, meal prep, light household tasks, and assisting access to a wheelchair-driven vehicle. The role requires reliability, patience and a friendly, supportive approach.

A full UK driving licence is essential, and PVG disclosure is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• School pick-up for children.
• Attending appointments and community activities.
• Meal preparation.
• Light household tasks.
• Helping access the vehicle by lifting and folding the wheelchair (not lifting the person).
• Driving occasionally with an automatic car.
