Job summary

Workchain is seeking a temporary HGV Class 1 Driver for an afternoon shift in Bowburn. You will be responsible for safe driving, completing scheduled deliveries and maintaining accurate records in a warehousing and transport environment.

Applicants should hold a valid HGV Class 1 entitlement, Driver CPC and tachograph card where required, with a strong focus on road safety, reliability and professional communication with customers and site teams.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 entitlement is required.
• Driver CPC and tachograph card where legally required.
• Good understanding of road safety and driver hours regulations.
• Professional, safe and responsible driving approach.
• Reliable attendance and good timekeeping.
• Ability to work independently and follow delivery instructions.
• Clear communication and helpful attitude.
• Physically able to carry out routine vehicle and load checks.

Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after journeys.
• Secure loads appropriately and report any issues.
• Complete delivery paperwork and records accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site teams and transport colleagues.
• Follow road safety, company and legal requirements at all times.
