Job summary

The Hermitage Junior School is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help Orchard Centre pupils access learning in mainstream classrooms during the afternoon. You will work closely with the class teacher and Centre Teacher to tailor activities and provide targeted support to help children succeed.

The role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm, based in the Orchard Centre with potential extra hours in the school’s after-school club.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils from The Orchard Centre as they access learning within mainstream classrooms in the afternoon.
• Adapt learning activities in collaboration with the class teacher and Centre Teacher.
• Provide tailored support for pupils to access the curriculum effectively.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group support, in and out of the Orchard Centre setting.
