Job summary

Durham County Council is seeking an After School Club Leader for Ebchester CE Primary School. The post is term-time only, 12.5 hours per week (3.00pm–5.30pm), starting 2 November. Responsibilities include supervising children aged 3–11, planning engaging activities, and ensuring safety and well-being within a supportive club environment.

The role requires enthusiasm, reliability and a commitment to safeguarding; enhanced DBS will be pursued. Closing date: 21 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Happy, enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead after school club.
• Experience with children aged 3–11 preferred.
• Ability to plan and deliver activities and supervise safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and stimulating play environment for children.
• Plan, prepare and deliver activities meeting developmental needs.
• Supervise children during club sessions and monitor well-being.
• Assist with safeguarding guidelines and DBS requirements.
• Carry out additional duties to support the club.
