Job summary

Cheriton Bishop Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual for their After School Club wrap around care provision, four days per week, with hours as listed (Mon-Wed: 2hrs/day; Thu: 1hr). This temporary post commences ASAP and may offer a jobshare option.

The role involves promoting safe, nurturing play, planning sessions, activities, snacks, and maintaining a high-quality environment for children. DBS disclosure will apply.

Qualifications

• Be able to build good relationships with children, staff and parents.
• Excellent English and Maths skills.
• High expectations of children’s behaviour with consistent boundaries.
• Willing to work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour.
• Use your own initiative when required.
• Experience in a similar role in a school.

Responsibilities

• Promote and supervise active play and ensure the safety of all children.
• Plan sessions, provide fun activities, order and prepare simple snacks.
• Maintain a high quality environment that children thrive in.
