Salary: 25,614 per annum, pro rata (actual salary is: £5,357.77).
Contract type: Permanent.
Working pattern: Part time.

We are seeking a calm, caring and patient Afterschool Club Assistant to join our team. If you enjoy working with children and would like to help support their independence, confidence and development, this could be the perfect role for you.

We are looking for someone who will help encourage our children's development, self‑reliance and problem‑solving skills in a fun, safe and nurturing environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• A childcare qualification or NVQ Level 3 in Playwork (desirable but not essential).
• Experience of working with children aged 4 to 11, with the ability to build positive relationships and engage them in activities.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, positive approach, alongside patience and flexibility.

As an Afterschool Club Assistant, you will work closely with the Afterschool Club Leaders to help ensure the club runs safely, smoothly and successfully.

In this role, you will:

• Support the delivery of a wide range of enjoyable and engaging activities, providing appropriate encouragement and support to children.
• Assist with the preparation, serving and tidying away of snacks.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming environment, ensuring equipment is used safely and high standards of hygiene are upheld.
