Job summary

Holme Slack Community Primary School in Preston is seeking a caring Afterschool Club Assistant to support children aged 3-11 during afterschool provision. You will help with snacks, activities, and safeguarding in a warm, inclusive environment.

You should have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent, experience with children, and be a team player who communicates well. The role is part-time during term time, with pro-rata pay and salary negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent qualification.
• Functional level of English & Mathematics (GCSE preferred).
• Functional level of ICT.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of healthy snacks for children.
• Engage in fun, engaging activities that children enjoy.
• Ensure every child feels safe, happy and looked after.
• Keep the club area clean, tidy and inviting.
• Work closely with a supportive team to create a warm, inclusive environment.
• Follow safeguarding procedures to promote children's safety and wellbeing.
