Job summary

The Wrap Around Care Assistant role at St Peter's Academy sits within Nene Education Trust. You will help run the after-school care, providing high standards of care and play opportunities for children and supporting their social, physical, and emotional development.

You will assist with planning and delivery of activities, maintain a safe environment and communicate with parents, while working to a fair, consistent approach to behaviour in line with school policies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Ability to facilitate activities to support development.
• Ability to use initiative and take appropriate action.
• Effective communication with adults and children.
• Firm but fair approach to behaviour consistent with school policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure and stimulating play environment.
• Assist planning, preparing and delivering activities to meet developmental needs.
• Ensure inclusive wrap around care for all children.
• Communicate regularly with parents and report information as required.
• Set up and clear away equipment for after school sessions.
• Build effective working relationships with colleagues.
