Job summary

Stanwick Primary School is seeking a dedicated Wrap Around Care Assistant to help organise daily care and play for pupils after school. You will contribute to developing social, physical, intellectual, and emotional growth through engaging activities within a safe, inclusive setting.

The role involves planning activities, communicating with parents, and ensuring smooth setup and cleanup of sessions, with a focus on child welfare and positive behaviour support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Ability to facilitate activities to engage pupils and support development.
• Ability to use initiative and take action accordingly.
• Strong communication with adults and children.
• Ability to handle behaviour issues in line with school policies.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure and stimulating play environment and assist with developing opportunities for social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development through play.
• Assist with planning, preparing and delivering activities meeting children's developmental needs.
• Ensure wrap around care offers a high quality, inclusive environment for all children.
• Communicate effectively with parents on a regular basis and report information as required.
• Set up and clear away equipment/activities before and after after school club sessions.
