Job summary

RSM UK in Manchester seeks an Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to lead statutory compliance for a diverse client portfolio. You will provide accounting support across consumer, technology and PE-backed entities, collaborating with Partners and Directors to act as a trusted advisor.

The role requires ACA/ACCA qualification, 3+ years PQE, strong UK financial reporting knowledge, and hands-on line management experience. A minimum 3 days per week in the office is expected.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA fully qualified, with at least three years PQE and one year managing a full portfolio of clients.
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Experience using accounting software.
• In-depth understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
• Line management with advanced coaching and development skills.
• Well-developed people skills to relate to clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• At least 3 days in the office each week to support colleagues face to face.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients, always providing a premium service, whilst growing the department through opportunities.
• Providing support and advisory services to clients including supporting their audit process.
• Maintaining awareness of UK IFRS, FRS102 and Companies Act reporting requirements.
• Managing project working capital: budgeting, cost management, and billing.
• Leading AFR teams and developing junior members' performance and objectives.
