Zusammenfassung

Rolls-Royce is seeking Aerothermal Engineers for 12‑month contracts in Bristol, operating on a hybrid basis. You will define aerothermal requirements, perform CFD-based analyses, and drive validation activities to ensure performance and robustness of gas path systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver concepts robust to engine interactions and manufacturing constraints, ensuring compliant, optimised designs.

Qualifikationen

• Strong grounding in mechanical design methodologies and cross-disciplinary engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks.
• Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on complex technical problems.

Aufgaben

• Define requirements for aerothermal, ensuring accurate flow-down and capture of higher-level requirements across system, sub-system and component modelling in aerothermal domains.
• Perform technical analysis of gas path aerothermal functionality at sub-system and component level using appropriate methods and fidelity.
• Conduct verification and validation activities to ensure requirements are met and that governing powerplant aspects including numerical modelling meet expectations; calibrate models against data and quantify uncertainty.
• Integrate gas path aerothermal systems through interactions across the organisation to deliver optimised systems.
• Define concepts for gas path aerothermal systems meeting requirements and evaluate using analytical methods to support robust trades at platform and powerplant level.
