Job summary

Thompson Aero Seating in Banbridge is seeking a Workshop Technician for P145 activities. You will inspect, fault-find, repair and test returned products to airworthy standards, working from approved maintenance data and procedures.

The role involves recording work, parts used and test results, and collaborating with engineering, quality and customer support teams. Occasional international travel may be required to support offsite P145 activity, with a focus on quality, traceability and timely

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant manufacturing and/or maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, specifications and data.
• Awareness of quality, traceability, safety and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess returned products per approved data to determine actions.
• Generate quotations for customer approval.
• Rectify by component replacement, adjustment and testing.
• Record conditions, work done, parts used and test results clearly.
• Comply with Part 145, TAS MOE, quality and airworthiness requirements.
• Use approved drawings, instructions, tooling and test gear.
• Raise concerns and seek support when outside competence.
• Support repair priorities and turnaround targets with the team.
• Identify recurring faults and suggest improvements to methods and tooling.
• Share knowledge and assist training as appropriate.
• Maintain a tidy, safe, and professional working environment.
