Job summary

Thompson Aero Seating in Banbridge, UK, seeks a Workshop Technician to perform investigation, fault-finding, repair and testing of returned products at the Banbridge facility. You will work to approved maintenance data, ensure airworthiness, and maintain accurate records, with occasional international travel for offsite activity.

You will collaborate with Workshop Manager and engineering teams, following Part 145 and safety standards, using drawings, data, and tooling to complete tasks

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years relevant manufacturing and/or maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, specifications, work instructions and approved data.
• Awareness of quality, traceability, safety and compliance requirements in a controlled environment.
• Clear communication and cooperative approach when working with colleagues.
• Able to organize assigned work, respond to changing priorities and support timescales.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess returned products to determine actions required to rectify.
• Generate quotations to be sent to the customer for approval.
• Carry out rectification actions such as component replacement, adjustment and testing.
• Record condition, work completed, parts used and test results clearly and accurately.
• Follow Part 145, TAS MOE, quality, safety, traceability and airworthiness requirements.
• Use approved drawings, specifications, maintenance instructions, tooling and test equipment.
• Raise concerns and seek support for work outside competence or authority.
• Support repair priorities and agreed turnaround times with Workshop Manager.
