Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire, is recruiting a Test and Development Engineer to plan, organise and execute testing for development and qualification activities. You will support maintenance of test capabilities and drive innovative testing processes, analysing results to identify trends and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Engineering-related qualification required (mechanical or electrical).
• Experience in electrical or mechanical development activities.
• Ability to assemble and test rigs using lab instrumentation and computer packages.
• Knowledge of development engineering concepts including compliance verification and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute testing to support development and qualification tests on Safran products.
• Maintain current and qualification testing capabilities for proactive, innovative testing processes.
• Analyse test results to identify trends and product concerns, proposing solutions.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical testing of Safran Group products in test cells.
• Mechanical equipment maintenance and installation.
• Construct hydraulic circuits using piping.
• Install system wiring in test cells (high/low current).
• Modify test rigs to accept new equipment/components.
• Assemble prototypes or development units.
