Job summary
Safran UK is seeking a Test and Development Support Technician for our Pitstone site. You will provide support, installation and maintenance to Engineering Test Rigs used to test Electrical Motors and Generators across aerospace applications.
Training will be provided as you work alongside an experienced Technician to develop your skills. You will join a dynamic R&D Test team focused on reliability, performance and safety, with opportunities to grow in a leading aerospace group committed to
Qualifications
- Engineering qualifications or equivalent in wiring regs or electrical/electronics
- Experience with machining centres (CNC and manual) and tooling
- Commitment to safe working practices and HSE requirements
- Desirable knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience with test equipment like gauges and meters is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide support, installation and maintenance to Engineering Test Rigs
- Set up tests and new equipment to meet customer requirements
- Support Engineers in the testing department to keep parts running smoothly
- Receive training and develop skills alongside an experienced Technician
