Job summary

Stott and May is seeking an AIT Engineer to support the integration, testing and verification of complex aerospace systems on a 6-12 month onsite role in Surrey. Start date is ASAP and candidates must be willing to undergo SC clearance.

You will work across the full engineering lifecycle, from integration and functional testing through to environmental and end-to-end system testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams while maintaining strict cleanroom/ESD procedures and full traceability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or STEM discipline.
• Understanding of assembly, integration and test (AIT) principles.
• Experience with hardware and software testing.
• Knowledge of cleanroom and ESD processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Exposure to spacecraft systems or high-reliability environments is advantageous.
• Some scripting/programming experience (Python, Shell, Java or C/C++) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support assembly, integration and functional testing of aerospace equipment and systems.
• Develop and execute test procedures, analysing results to identify issues and improvements.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults during integration and test activities.
• Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation and test records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Adhere to cleanroom and ESD procedures, maintaining full product traceability.
