Job summary

Isembard is seeking a hands-on Supplier Quality Engineer to develop and maintain a capable aerospace-ready supplier base across its manufacturing network. You will own technical supplier quality activities from qualification through RCCA, ensuring purchased materials meet customer, regulatory, and AS9100/EN9100 requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in supplier quality or related quality engineering.
• Knowledge of AS9100/EN9100 or ISO 9001 for external providers.
• Experience conducting supplier assessments or audits.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and inspection requirements.
• Willingness to travel to suppliers/sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality qualification and audits, including capability assessments and supplier approvals.
• Develop supplier base with required capabilities and quality systems.
• Evaluate supplier process controls, measurement capability, traceability, and readiness.
• Define and communicate supplier quality requirements and flow-down clauses.
• Monitor supplier performance and prioritize improvements based on risk.
• Coordinate RCCA/SCAR investigations and verification of effectiveness.
• Support receiving inspection strategies and First Article Inspection where applicable.
• Assess supplier changes and obtain necessary approvals.
• Prevent counterfeit parts and maintain traceability.
• Coordinate NADCAP or customer approvals for special processes.
• Support audits with objective evidence of supplier control.
