The program spans four years and three months, combining college study at Weston College with on-site hands-on training in structures testing and metrology. You will rotate through mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation tasks, with progression into calibration-focused activities and metrology.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths (C/4 or higher) and English (C/4 or higher).
• Plus 3 other GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher; equivalents may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Year 1: study at Weston College, then two days per week onsite at Airbus Filton.
• Years 2–3: on-site at Filton, support test campaigns across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation tasks.
• Year 4: full-time placement at place of work.
