Job summary

ALTEN is recruiting a Project Manager in Stevenage to coordinate engineering projects from initiation to completion. You will work with cross-functional teams and technical specialists to meet objectives on time, within scope, and within budget.

The role targets professionals with aerospace, space or defence project management experience, offering hybrid work with 3 days on-site as part of the Stevenage location. Clearable security is noted as a requirement.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in a Project Management role.
• Experience delivering projects in Aerospace, Space or Defence sectors.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets and project risks.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of engineering and technical projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, plans and risk registers.
• Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance, budgets and key milestones.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Prepare and present project status reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and project governance activities.
