Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a motivated and organised Project Manager to support the successful delivery of manufacturing, engineering, and operational improvement projects at our site in Broughton. This role is fully onsite and suitable for junior to mid-level candidates with strong coordination and communication skills.

You will work with cross-functional teams, manage meetings, track actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, while developing practical experience in aerospace/defense

Qualifications

• Experience in project coordination, PMO, engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related environment.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering and manufacturing projects.
• Organise meetings, document key outcomes, and track actions through to completion.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and key performance indicators.
• Coordinate activities related to manufacturing equipment, tooling, and operational processes.
• Support the introduction and implementation of new technologies, equipment, and process improvements.
• Assist with project reviews, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination between engineering, operations, and programme teams.
• Provide day-to-day support to project managers and operational leads.
