DCS Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Aerospace Fabricator / Fitter Technician in Oxford to join a specialist engineering team. You will manufacture sheet metal components, assemble parts and inspect subcontractor components to ensure airworthiness and quality.

You will work with engineering and design teams on prototypes, retrofit projects and production, while complying with health and safety standards and using sheet metal and composite techniques. A full, clean driving licence is required.

Formación

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Fabrication.
• Experience in sheet metal working, metal fabrication, mechanical fitting or automotive repair.
• Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings and data.
• Good manual dexterity with practical hands-on skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently using initiative.
• Excellent attention to detail and high workmanship standards.
• Good communication and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual, organised and methodical work approach.
• Ability to work in confined spaces where required.
• Understand health and safety requirements and PPE use.
• Basic IT skills including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to provide a photographic record or portfolio of prior work.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsabilidades

• Manufacture detailed sheet metal components in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Assemble components using fitting, fastening and fabrication techniques.
• Inspect subcontractor parts for compliance with drawings and data.
• Carry out repairs to helicopter structures using sheet metal and composites.
• Support prototype development and production activities.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to meet standards.
• Ensure all parts and work meet quality, safety and airworthiness requirements.
• Follow supervisor and engineer instructions to complete work packages.
• Assist with aircraft handling and hangar operations when required.
• Maintain housekeeping and health and safety procedures, including PPE usage.
• Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and detail.
