Job summary

DCS Recruitment Limited is recruiting two Trainee Sheet Metal Workers for an aerospace manufacturing business in Greater Manchester. You will receive structured training and mentoring while supporting the manufacture and preparation of precision sheet metal components.

No aerospace experience required—training and mentoring will be provided to develop aerospace-standard sheet metal skills and long-term career progression in a professional manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Some practical experience with sheet metal, especially thin aluminium or steel under 2mm.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to learn and develop within aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Mark out sheet metal components accurately.
• Bend and form thin aluminium and steel.
• Drill and prepare materials under 2mm thick.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Measure components and check against drawings and specifications.
• Use hand tools, measuring equipment and workshop machinery.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow 5S standards.
• Progress from general to aerospace-standard manufacturing.
