Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited offers an undergraduate placement in Bristol/Filton within the Systems Engineering and Retrofit Solutions domain. You will work in a small, collaborative team on in-service aircraft, contributing to design solutions, feasibility studies and configuration management.

The role provides learning opportunities across aircraft and non-aircraft processes, with potential exposure to various toolsets used by Airbus.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent
• Analytical mindset with good problem solving skills
• Interest in aerospace industry and related topics
• Nice to have CAD knowledge (CATIA) or modelling tools (ADAMS, MATLAB/Simulink)
• Awareness of programming languages and ability to run scripts
• Willingness to learn across technical, project management, communication and processes
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Identify installation drawings design solutions
• Conduct feasibility analyses for proposed changes
• Support configuration management activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and processes
• Assist knowledge capture and documentation efforts
• Participate in quality assurance and problem solving
• Explore future ways of working with new integrated tools
