Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton, Bristol offers an internship placement for students in mechanical/aeronautical engineering or data science. You will engage in projects for the Aircraft Operations teams, work with in-service data, and contribute to designs across wings, landing gears and fuel systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or Data Science.
• Good IT skills and interest in programming (e.g., Python, Java).
• Solid understanding of statistics.
• Interest in aircraft maintenance and aviation industry.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Creative, open-minded and able to work in a transnational team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead projects to support Aircraft Operations teams designing future aircraft.
• Support data analytics activities using in-service data.
• Contribute to projects influencing current Airbus designs (Wing, Landing Gear, Fuel).
• Collaborate with the wider transnational Aircraft Operations team across domains.
