Job summary

Alten is seeking an experienced Quality and Supply Chain Engineer (onsite) in the Broughton area to support quality assurance and operational performance within a complex manufacturing and supply chain environment.

You will collaborate with suppliers, logistics, quality teams and operations to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement and manage risks across the supply chain. A background in aerospace/manufacturing industries and experience with corrective actions are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong non-conformance management and corrective action knowledge.
• Proficient in structured problem-solving methods (Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys).
• Experience conducting audits, supplier assessments, or operational reviews.
• Able to analyse performance data and drive improvements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experienced with cross-functional teams and supplier collaboration.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier quality and logistics performance to ensure contractual compliance.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct supplier assessments and operational audits to verify standards.
• Track quality incidents and improvement actions through to closure.
• Support supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyse risks and implement mitigation plans to reduce disruptions.
• Report KPIs to stakeholders and drive performance improvements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement and Logistics teams.
• Promote quality standards and best practices across the organisation.
• Capture lessons learned and share improvement opportunities.
