Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to identify and document customer and regulatory requirements, and to establish robust quality plans across our East Cowes facilities on the Isle of Wight. You will ensure procedures are maintained and meet requirements, with travel as needed.

The role focuses on driving quality improvements, supporting CAPA and lean initiatives, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance build quality across processes.

Qualifications

• Essential: Demonstrable experience within Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or related disciplines in an aerospace production environment.
• Demonstrable ability to be customer-facing and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience driving quality and/or process improvements and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
• Willingness for national and international travel as required by customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document customer and regulatory product and process requirements.
• Create and maintain quality plans and supporting procedures.
• Support corrective and preventive actions and lean/continual improvement activities.
• Review quality data to identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans.
• Lead or participate in meetings with customers and relevant departments to drive build quality.
