Job summary

Omega Resource Group is partnering with a Gloucestershire-based aerospace engineering business to recruit a Head of Quality. You will lead the UK quality function, own the AS9100 QMS, oversee product quality and supplier and customer quality issues as the business scales.

The role requires deep aerospace regulatory knowledge, strong leadership, and a track record of driving audits, CAPA and continuous improvement across manufacturing and assembly processes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading AS9100 QMS across aerospace manufacturing.
• Proven ability to drive audit programs and corrective actions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the Quality Management System end to end.
• Lead internal audits, management reviews, and external audits.
• Oversee inspection, testing and release of aerospace components.
• Drive CAPA and continuous improvement.
• Lead quality planning for new programmes (FAIR, APQP, PPAP).
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Supply Chain to maintain supplier quality.
• Mentor quality capability across the business.
• Direct continuous improvement culture within the team.
• Act as primary quality contact for customers and regulatory bodies.
