Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced FAIR Engineer on a contract basis for a Derby site. The role focuses on First Article Inspections and reporting in line with customer and business requirements, supporting quality throughout manufacturing.

You will inspect parts, analyse non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and work with production and quality teams to drive improvements while ensuring ISO 9001 alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering or quality environments.
• Experience with First Article Inspection and producing First Article Inspection Reports.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience working to ISO 9001, ideally within aerospace or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out First Article Inspections and provide First Article Inspection Reports in line with customer and business requirements.
• Inspect and verify parts throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring quality standards and specifications are met.
• Support non-conformance procedures, root cause analysis and resolution to drive improvements in manufacturing quality.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to build quality into the manufacturing process and achieve quality and production targets.
• Represent the quality function within team meetings and support continuous improvement across the business.
