Job summary

A leading aerospace manufacturer in Nottingham is seeking a Head of Quality to drive the quality strategy across multi-site operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in precision engineering, particularly within aerospace. Responsibilities include managing the quality management system, leading audits, and engaging with customers. Qualifications

  • Extensive experience leading quality management in engineering.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, customer, and internal standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and improve the Business Quality Management System.
  • Drive the deployment of APQP and defect prevention tools.
  • Plan and lead third-party audits, including AS9100.
  • Act as the quality interface for customer matters.
  • Define supplier quality objectives and drive improvement.

Skills

Proven senior quality leadership experience within precision engineering
Strong background supplying machined and/or fabricated components into the aerospace sector
In-depth knowledge of AS9100 and Quality Management Systems
Practical experience of APQP and associated quality tools
AS9100 auditor trained
Demonstrable success with continuous improvement tools like 8D, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
