Job summary

Beagle Aircraft in Christchurch seeks an experienced QMS Engineer to join the Quality team. You’ll maintain and improve the QMS, support AS9100 and NADCAP audits, and drive corrective actions to closure across a demanding aerospace manufacturing environment.

You’ll work with Quality, Production and Engineering to ensure compliance and continuous improvement, reporting to the Head of Quality. This role offers a structured path in aerospace quality management.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in Quality Management Systems within manufacturing.
• AS9100 knowledge and experience auditing.
• Experience planning, conducting and documenting internal audits.
• Ability to manage corrective actions through to closure.
• Strong document control and QMS record management.
• Good organisation to manage multiple audits, actions and deadlines.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Production, Engineering and Quality teams.
• Continuous-improvement approach to quality and compliance.
• AS9100 Internal/Lead Auditor training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the QMS in line with AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Maintain controlled quality procedures, processes, records and QMS documentation.
• Plan and conduct internal process and system audits.
• Support AS9100 certification, customer and NADCAP audits.
• Coordinate audit evidence and address findings with process owners.
• Track corrective and preventive actions through to closure and verify effectiveness.
• Support root cause analysis for quality-system non-conformances.
• Identify recurring audit or compliance issues and drive improvements.
• Provide guidance on QMS procedures, document control and audit readiness.
• Report on audit performance, corrective-action closure and compliance risks.
