Job summary

Safran Nacelles in Burnley is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for composites. You will support the Composite Operations team to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products, meeting customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.

You will drive quality improvements, lead investigations, and support QMS development within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role involves cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Experience with APQP and core quality tools such as PFMEA, SPC, 8D, and Six Sigma.
• Proven experience delivering complex problem-solving and continuous improvement projects.
• Degree/HND in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive customer escape prevention and concession reduction initiatives.
• Lead complex root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects.
• Apply quality tools including APQP, PFMEA, SPC, 8D, and Six Sigma.
• Support Quality Planning activities for New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Conduct product and process audits and manage corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and operational performance.
