Job summary

Safran is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Sheet Metal Operations. This permanent position is based on a 37-hour week (Mon-Fri) with a focus on preventing customer escapes, reducing concessions, and driving continual improvement within the Quality Management System.

You will audit, troubleshoot, and support NPI efforts to ensure on-time, compliant deliveries. Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering, strong problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with PFMEA, SPC, 8D,

Qualifications

• Proven Quality Assurance experience within a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in complex problem solving and delivery of improvement projects.
• Practical experience with PFMEA, SPC, 8D, Six Sigma, and other core quality tools.
• Experience in Quality Planning for new product introduction.

Your Role:

The Quality Assurance Engineer supports the Sheet Metal Operations team in delivering products on time, to specification, and in full compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. The role focuses on preventing customer escapes, reducing concessions, driving continuous improvement, and strengthening the organisation's Quality Management System.

What You'll Bring:

• Degree or HND in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• APQP Experience or strong oversight of a customer who uses APQP
• Proven Quality Assurance experience within a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in complex problem solving and delivery of improvement projects.
• Practical experience with PFMEA, SPC, 8D, Six Sigma, and other core quality tools
• Experience in Quality Planning for new product introduction
