Job summary

Eaton in the United Kingdom seeks a senior engineering leader to drive development across software, electronics and systems for defence/aerospace applications. You will lead a cross-functional team, coordinate design reviews, and maintain alignment with manufacturing and suppliers, ensuring performance and compliance across the project lifecycle.

You will shape requirements, manage risks, and communicate status to senior leadership while staying abreast of market competition and product

Qualifications

• Degree educated in engineering or science discipline.
• Extensive experience leading complex projects with software, electronics and systems engineering elements.
• Background in Defence or Aerospace industries.
• Experience with MBSE concepts and tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody).

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the engineering development
• Balance the competing demands and requirements, assessing customer requirements, and prioritizing workload as required
• Plan, co-ordinate and present at design reviews
• Provide technical interface with supporting functions e.g. manufacturing
• Support customer, partner and strategic supplier meetings
• Author key project documents, including Engineering Development Plans, and Declarations of Performance
• Regularly present project status to the Project Engineering Team Leader and Head of Engineering
• Maintain awareness of PCS products within the competitive landscape
• Use DOORS for requirements management and traceability
