Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Programme Manager in the United Kingdom to lead planning, execution, and delivery of aerospace programmes. You will manage cost, schedule and performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety, airworthiness, and configuration control of delivered products.

You will act as the primary customer contact, lead reviews, and build strong relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in programme or project management within aerospace/defence.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional influence across engineering, operations, quality and supply chain.
• Excellent communication and customer management capabilities.
• Experience managing financial performance, risks and complex stakeholder environments.
• Ability to analyse technical issues and coordinate effective resolution plans.
• Familiarity with aerospace regulatory frameworks, configuration control, and airworthiness principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of programmes.
• Manage cost, schedule and performance against commitments.
• Identify risks and opportunities with mitigation plans and continuous improvement.
• Ensure aftermarket activities maintain safety, airworthiness and configuration control.
• Act as primary customer contact for production programme matters with clear updates.
• Lead regular customer reviews on KPIs, reliability, repair performance and in-service issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations to manage in-service issues.
