Job summary

SYOS Aerospace in the United Kingdom is seeking a highly organised Production Planner to coordinate production schedules, secure materials, and support on-time delivery across multiple departments. You will ensure schedules align with customer requirements and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

The role requires proactive problem solving, strong communication across teams, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. BPSS baseline security is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/aerospace or similar production environment.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning techniques.
• Strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with scheduling software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle ASCP).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed production schedules across manufacturing.
• Plan capacity across assembly, electrical, mechanical, and commissioning.
• Monitor progress and implement recovery plans when needed.
• Coordinate release of work orders and production docs.
• Work with Procurement and Stores to ensure material availability.
• Produce status updates and reports for management.
• Support labour planning and resource allocation.
• Participate in daily/weekly production meetings.
• Coordinate internal and external resources for product completion.
• Support Lean, 5S, and workflow improvements.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and quality in production activities.
