Job summary

Moog is seeking a Lathe & Hone Aerospace Operator to join our precision engineering team in Wolverhampton. You will machine and refurbish aerospace components to micron-level tolerances, reading drawings and GD&T, selecting tooling and setting up Colchester lathes and Sunnen honing equipment.

Ideal candidates will have experience in aerospace or high-spec manufacturing, be safety-focused, reliable, and capable of working with tight schedules. Some shift work and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Machining.
• Experience operating Colchester lathes and Sunnen honing equipment.
• Ability to read GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Colchester lathes and Sunnen honing equipment.
• Machining aerospace components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs and work instructions.
• Carry out in-process and final inspections with micrometers and gauges.
• Maintain safety and quality standards.
